Friday night, the Norse were able to keep the score close for two periods - only trailing 3-1 at the start of the 3rd, but the Cougars were able to pull away late and won 9-2. Norse goals were scored by senior captain, Nick Williams and senior assistant captain, Adam Engels.
On Saturday, the Norse continued to struggle, going down 5-0 in the first period. The final score was 11-0.
Saturday marked the final game for seniors Justin Kreimer and Wade Schultz.
Justin Kreimer's first season with the Norse was 2007 - 2008, when the team went to the ACHA North Regional Tournament. Initially, Justin played forward and saw limited action. During the 2008 - 2009, Justin moved to defense and developed his game as an offensive threat from the blue line. Justin was a leader for the Norse, always ready and able to provide a big hit or a heavy shot from the point.Wade Schultz's first season was one year after Justin's, 2008 - 2009. Despite being one of the smaller players on the team, Wade was one of the toughest. Aside from being one of the toughest players on the ice, Wade was also one of the fastest.
