The Norse split this weekend's series in Wooster, Ohio this weekend versus the College of Wooster.
On Friday night, the Norse were able to hold off the Fighting Scots for two periods, but with less than 5 minutes remaining, the Norse got themselves into penalty trouble. The Fighting Scots were able to draw even with less than three minutes left and on a 5 on 3 power play with 36 seconds to go, Wooster was able to pull ahead for the win, 5 to 4.
Saturday's game featured a higher energy performance by the Norse. Senior assistant captain, Adam Engels, led the scoring attack, recording a hat trick. Junior goaltender, Martin Paul, turned away many scoring opportunities and the Norse skated to a 6-4 victory.
Up next for the Norse are the Big Red from Denison University on November 4th and 5th in Newark, Ohio.
